Want to look up a word's dictionary definition? Touch anywhere on the word, drag along its length, and then release. It must be your turn, the board must be zoomed out, and your tiles must still be on your rack.
Currently, definitions are only available for English and French, but other languages may be supported in the future. The definitions are intentionally concise, rather than complete. Not every word has a definition, but more will be added as new sources become available.
To keep the size of the program to a minimum, CrossCraze itself does not contain any word definitions. Instead, all definitions are downloaded from the internet as needed. As with any internet service, continuous, uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.
CrossCraze's dictionaries include reformatted excerpts from public domain and out-of-copyright sources, as well as from the following:
